Omni V2 Production Update #1

Thanks for your interest in the Omni V2. We couldn’t do this without your support. I’ll be updating every Friday with a production update. If you ever have any questions or need other make any changes to you order, please contact us and I’ll do what I can to help.

Currently the skates have wrapped with raw material production and are being assembled. This means all the eyelets are installed, the cuffs get riveted, the bases get painted, all the things. I don’t have an estimation how long this phase will take, but they did ask for my shop order breakdown already, which is a good sign. I would assume they’ll be done with assembly next week, which would be right on schedule for shipping mid November.

The skates get shipped from the factory to all the shops and my warehouse directly. For most locations, the shipment will first go on a boat from China to the local port. Once it lands at port the local distribution center uses UPS or DHL or similar to deliver to the final location. Last time it took a week for shops in Asia, 3 weeks for the USA, and 4-5 weeks for Europe/Canada/Australia. Of course once I get tracking information I’ll know for sure when to expect them.

If you’re worried about sizing, please let me know and I’ll help get you in the right pair of Omni. The V2 are a bit more generous than V1, but I still recommend the same sizing. It’ll just be a little more comfortable in there. For those of you able to make it to the Balance warehouse in Durham, please let me know if you’d like to visit and try on a pair. We’ll be having open houses most Saturdays for try on and test rides and would love to help you dial in your setup before they get here.
